Formula1 82nd Gran Premio Santander d'Italia 2011

The Formula One Grand Prix is an exceptional event bringing to Monza thousands of people. A special plan has been designed to make traffic easier.

Special trains, buses and shuttles allow visitors to reach the Autodrome easily and quickly.

A special traffic plan integrated with the public transport network has been designed to facilitate the flow of visitors.

On Friday 9th, Saturday 10th, Sunday 11th September It's not allowed to drive in Monza park.

Leave your car in P+Bus Parkings or in external Parkings near Biassono. Friday 9th, Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th: from toll parkings leave free shuttle buses. The ticket of the shuttle bus is 3 Euro if you haven’t the parking ticket:

BLUE LINE: Park + Shuttle 15 Euro (only Shuttle 3 Euro round trip)
P Monza Stadio-Shuttle-Park / Autodrome Gate Mirabello

GREEN LINE*: Park + Shuttle 20 Euro (only Shuttle 3 Euro round trip)
P Monza Rondò-Shuttle-Park / Autodrome Gate Mirabello
*Not on Friday


The West car park is already full around 10 a.m.: for this reason it is suggested to use East car parks – Stadium area where the ticket is cheaper and there are no public works in the roads nearby.

In particular, on Saturday 10th and Sunday 10th V.le Cesare Battisti (from P.le Virgilio/Rondò dei Pini to Villa Reale) will be closed to traffic except for buses and taxis.

(A4 highway)
highway towards Milan - Agrate Brianza exit, at the roundabout take SP 121 Viale Industrie - carry on following signs on SP 13 towards Stadio Brianteo (Brianteo Stadium), then follows signs. Map

Piazzale Maciachini - Via Valassina - Via Enrico Fermi - Milan Meda highway towards Tangenziale Nord (then follow signs considering passes and suggested entrance gates).

The three available shuttles are in function Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until the end of the event and connect the various parking areas with the autodrome.

The Black Line connects without intermediate stops the FS Station with the autodrome (Viale Cavriga/Mirabellino inside the Park of Monza).

The Green Line connects without intermediate stops the West parking areas (Via Elvezia, Rondò dei Pini, SS 36) with the autodrome (Viale Mirabello inside the Park of Monza).The capacity of these parking areas is reduced to 1500 cars: besides the access road is interested by public works so it is suggested to use East car parks which offer higher capacity.

The Blue Line connects without intermediate stops the East parking areas (Viale delle Industrie – Stadium) with the autodrome (Viale Mirabello inside the Park of Monza). The capacity of these car parks goes beyond the 10.000 places and they are easily reachable by motorways and bypasses (A52 North bypass “San’Alessandro” exit).

NB. The Black Line is free while the Green and Blue ones are free only for those who park in areas which have an arrangement with TPM (West parking areas ticket costs 20 Euros and East parking areas ticket costs 15 Euros).

  TRAIN


A fast and inexpensive way to reach the Autodrome is to use the trains connecting Milan and Monza in Northern Europe.
From Milan Railway stations on Sunday, September 11, you can reach Monza circuit in 30 minutes by using free trains.

By train.
There are various possibilities:

1. From FS “Milano Centrale”
- Trains to Monza ( Lecco, Tirano, Chiasso direction) every hour;
- Only on Sunday special there and back free trains from “Milano Centrale” to Biassono and Lesmo

2. From Milano Porta Garibaldi:
From Milan “Porta Garibaldi” station (that you can reach by MM2 or by railway link trains) trains to Monza (direction Lecco, Bergamo, Chiasso, Molteno, Chiavenna) every 5-10 minutes (20 minutes on Sunday).

3. From Milan “San Cristoforo/Romolo/Lambrate”:
Trains to Monza “Seregno” direction (line S9) every 30 minutes only on Friday and saturday. At Monza FS Station exit “Porta Castello”: this is the terminus of the black line which connects with a shuttle every 10 minutes the FS station to the autodrome; this service coincides with the arrivals of the trains.
all the other people is required the payment of a 3 Euros return ticket everyone for the shuttle.

Special trains to Monza Station (city center).
Moreover, in the days of the race, some international trains will stop at Monza.

Linate airport

Linate airport (phone 02 74852200) is situated in the Eastern suburbs of Milan, is about 10 km far from the town centre and 25 km far from the circuit.

The airport is connected to the Central Railway Station of Milan by Alimonza special bus service.

Moreover the bus n° 73 connects the airport to the city centre.

Malpensa airport

Malpensa airport (phone: 02 74852200) is situated in direction of Lago Maggiore, about 40 km far from Milan and 50 km far from the circuit.

The airport is connected to the Central Railway Station of Milan by a special bus service: Malpensa Express 
Orio al Serio airport

The international airport of Orio al Serio (phone 035 326323) is located in the North-Eastern area outside Milan, is about 5 km far from the city of Bergamo, 45 from Milan and 40 from the circuit. the airport is connected to the Central Railway Station of Milan by a special bus service.
