San Cristoforo on the track. On 25 July the Autodromo Nazionale Monza opens its doors to the Members of the Automobile Clubs of Lombardy and to all drivers of motor vehicles for a day of celebrations for their patron saint: the Motorist’s Day.

The event will start at 9:30 and will continue until 18. The highlight of the day will be at 12:30 with the participation of the Archbishop of Milan Mons. Mario Delpini who will bless all the vehicles they wish during a parade on the track.

At 3 pm the “Bruno Brida Monza Award” dedicated to the memory of the prematurely deceased director of Paddock magazine will be awarded. The award will go to Dario Lucchese, Autosprint journalist, for the articles published about the ACI Racing Weekends.

All journalists present on 25 July, upon reservation through the circuit press office, will also have the opportunity at 2.15pm to enter the track with their own car for a track day session in memory of Bruno Brida.

The Festival will also be an opportunity to show the solidarity of all the participants towards those who find themselves in situations of food difficulty: Autodromo Nazionale Monza will allocate the entire proceeds – less the living costs – to Caritas Ambrosiana.

The Brescia, Milan and Varese Automobile Clubs are supporters of the event: in their delegations, members will be able to obtain more detailed information on the programs reserved for their members. Shifts can be booked at the Provincial Automobile Clubs in Lombardy (which will provide all the necessary information) or by writing to the e-mail address eventi@monzanet.it.

Those who want to register for free laps of the track are recommended to use their own personal helmet. Even non-members will be able to access the track and participate in the parade. The entrance to the racetrack is free while the internal parking will be paid at a cost of 10 euros for each car and 5 euros for each motorcycle.
