The “Santiago in rosa Cycling Marathon – first Sauber Trophy” is staged at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. The Cancer First Aid event, now in its 11th edition, will make its debut in the temple of speed on Saturday 9 October and will take place at night, from 8 pm to 11 pm.
This is an invitation-only race reserved for the amateur categories of the Italian Cycling Federation which will see female, male and mixed teams at the starting line: there will be 40 teams at the start, each made up of 4 athletes. The competition will take place over 3 hours and will see the first 3 teams of each category who have covered the most kilometers awarded.
The competition, which has the patronage of the Municipality of Monza and the patronage of the Lombardy Region, clearly has a charitable purpose: the contributions collected by the sponsors will go to support the Cancer First Aid initiatives, in particular the Wigs Project which has allowed, up to today to get over 20,000 women a wig for free.
The “Santiago in rosa Cycling Marathon – first Sauber Trophy” will see the extraordinary participation of: Stefania Andriola , journalist and Mediaset presenter, runner and cyclist Alessandra Fior , triathlete and blogger Justine Mattera , showgirl, host, cyclist and triathlete Sabrina Schillaci , athlete and professional coach.
