{"id":23601,"date":"2025-04-10T16:29:24","date_gmt":"2025-04-10T14:29:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monzanet.it\/the-xvi-historical-commemoration-of-the-milan-sanremo-cup-started-from-monza\/"},"modified":"2025-04-10T17:39:37","modified_gmt":"2025-04-10T15:39:37","slug":"the-xvi-historical-commemoration-of-the-milan-sanremo-cup-started-from-monza","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.monzanet.it\/en\/the-xvi-historical-commemoration-of-the-milan-sanremo-cup-started-from-monza\/","title":{"rendered":"THE XVI HISTORICAL COMMEMORATION OF THE MILAN-SANREMO CUP STARTED FROM MONZA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Coppa Milano-Sanremo Historical Reenactment<\/strong> is back, with about ninety vintage cars that, from today, <strong>Thursday, April 10<\/strong>, to <strong>Sunday, April 13<\/strong>, will compete along more than <strong>1,000 kilometers,<\/strong> keeping alive the passion and spirit of the <em>gentlemen drivers <\/em>who conceived it in <strong>1906<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The day&#8217;s program opened with the much-anticipated return to <strong>the Autodromo Nazionale Monza<\/strong>, where the usual technical and sporting scrutineering and free laps on the track were held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., preceding <strong>the official start of the race<\/strong> with the first and demanding <strong>regularity trials<\/strong>, which got underway at 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>A special moment was the debut of <strong>Marline Collection<em>bio-fuel<\/em><\/strong> at the Coppa Milano-Sanremo: to win the <strong>&#8220;Precision Driver&#8221; award,<\/strong> each participating crew received <strong>10 liters of <em>Marline Collection<\/em> fuel<\/strong> by measuring their ability to complete two consecutive timed laps of the Autodromo track, trying to replicate to the tenth of a second their previous lap.<\/p>\n<p>After finishing the specials at the Autodromo, the cars of the XVI Rievocazione headed for the <strong>first time<\/strong> to <strong>Lake Iseo<\/strong>, where an<strong>exclusive visit to the Riva di Sarnico shipyard<\/strong>, exceptionally open for the occasion, was planned.<\/p>\n<p>The competition features some of the most prestigious names in historic motoring, including <strong>Mario Passanante<\/strong> and <strong>Alessandro Molgora<\/strong>, who challenge the course in a refined 1937 Lancia Aprilia, as well as <strong>Francesco<\/strong> and <strong>Giuseppe Di Pietra<\/strong> in a 1938 Fiat 508C. <strong>Andrea Zagato<\/strong> and <strong>Marella Rivolta<\/strong> are at the wheel of a stunning <strong>1972<\/strong> <strong>Lancia Fulvia Zagato Sport<\/strong>, adding a touch of authenticity and passion directly from the historic Zagato family.<\/p>\n<p>There is no shortage of <strong>Andrea Vesco<\/strong> and <strong>Fabio Salvinelli<\/strong>, former winners of numerous regularity races, who will compete in a <strong>1935<\/strong> <strong>Fiat 508S<\/strong>. Making the Re-enactment even more exclusive is the presence of the prestigious<strong> 1928 <\/strong> <strong>Bugatti<\/strong> <strong>Type 40 Grand Sport <\/strong>and a rare<strong> 1927<\/strong> <strong>Bugatti<\/strong> <strong>Type<\/strong> <strong>37A <\/strong>, examples that embody the very essence of timeless elegance. <\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow, <strong>Friday 11<\/strong>, the first race 2025 of the new <strong>ACI Historic Racing Weekend<\/strong> championship kicks off instead with free practice from 1:15 p.m. and qualifying at Berghe von Trips: Saturday and Sunday qualifying and racing with 200 cars divided into 6 categories (4 historic and 2 modern) starting at 8:30 a.m. Free admission.
