The pit lane came alive during the autograph session with all 176 drivers<\/strong> competing in the GT World Challenge powered by AWS<\/strong>, who will go head-to-head tomorrow in the highly anticipated three-hour race<\/strong> at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza<\/strong>. Saturday, meanwhile, featured the opening races of both the Lamborghini Super Trofeo<\/strong> and the McLaren Trophy Europe<\/strong>, offering fans an exciting preview of what\u2019s to come.<\/p>\n

In the Lamborghini one-make series, organized by the manufacturer from Sant\u2019Agata Bolognese, the victory went to Stephan Guerin<\/strong> and Georgi Dimitrov<\/strong> (CMR), ahead of the pairing of Enzo Geraci<\/strong> and Josef Knopp<\/strong> (Oregon Team), with third place taken by the HC by DL Racing car driven by Diego Locanto<\/strong> and Luca Segu<\/strong>. The race ended under red flag conditions following a collision that prematurely brought proceedings to a halt.<\/p>\n

In the McLaren one-make series, it was a dominant performance by Greystone GT<\/strong>, securing a one-two finish. Joshua Mason<\/strong> and Sam Naser<\/strong> took the win, followed closely by Jayden Kelly<\/strong> and Michael O\u2019Brian<\/strong>, while third place went to Samuel Harrison<\/strong> and Leonidas Karavasili<\/strong> of ALM Motorsport.<\/p>\n

The GT World Challenge pre-qualifying session<\/strong> also took place, with the fastest time of the day\u20141’46.003<\/strong>\u2014recorded by the Mercedes-AMG GetSpeed<\/strong> crew, driven by Fabian Schiller<\/strong>, Luca Stolz<\/strong>, and Jules Gounon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A particularly emotional moment unfolded in the afternoon, as Andrea Bertolini<\/strong>, one of the most decorated GT drivers in history, held his final press conference. With a career that includes 10 national and international titles<\/strong>, 309 races<\/strong>, 58 victories<\/strong>, 128 podiums<\/strong>, 26 pole positions<\/strong>, and 17 fastest laps<\/strong>, Bertolini announced his retirement from racing. His career began at Monza in 2001, driving a Porsche while already serving as a Ferrari F1 test driver for Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello. Fittingly, he has chosen to end his journey where it began\u2014at Monza<\/strong>, behind the wheel of a Ferrari run by AF Corse<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, the official pre-race press conference was held, bringing together ten Italian drivers<\/strong>, each representing top teams and manufacturers, and all eager to impress on home soil.<\/p>\n

The final day of the event begins tomorrow with the fourth free practice session for the McLaren Trophy Europe<\/strong> at 9:00 AM, followed by Qualifying 2<\/strong> for the same series at 9:20. From 9:50 to 10:35, the GT World Challenge drivers<\/strong> will take part in three qualifying sessions, one per driver, with the best lap time setting the grid<\/strong> for the afternoon’s main race.<\/p>\n

At 11:20<\/strong>, the second Lamborghini Super Trofeo race<\/strong> will take place, with a 50-minute rolling start format. At 12:15<\/strong>, a selection of GT World Challenge drivers will greet fans in the Fanzone Meet & Greet session<\/strong>. That will be followed by the second McLaren Trophy Europe race<\/strong>, starting at 12:40<\/strong> with a standing start and running for 45 minutes.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the three-hour main event, which gets underway at 3:00 PM<\/strong>, the Alpine Fanfare \u201cAngelo Masciadri di Asso\u201d<\/strong> will perform the Italian National Anthem<\/strong> live on track.<\/p>\n
