ust a few days remain before the engines of the twenty single-seaters roar to life for the Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio d\u2019Italia 2025<\/strong>, the 16th round of the World Championship, set against the stunning backdrop of the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. The event was officially presented this morning in the “Sala Regione” at the legendary Lombardy circuit.<\/p>\n

In attendance were the President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana<\/strong>, the Mayor of Monza Paolo Pilotto<\/strong>, and Martina Riva<\/strong>, Sports Councillor for the Municipality of Milan.<\/p>\n

Stefano Domenicali<\/strong>, President and CEO of Formula 1, sent a video message of greeting. There were also virtual appearances from Matteo Salvini<\/strong>, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, and Andrea Abodi<\/strong>, Minister for Sport and Youth Policies.<\/p>\n

Hosting the ceremony were Tullio Del Sette<\/strong>, Special Commissioner of the Automobile Club d\u2019Italia (ACI), Giovanni Battista Tombolato<\/strong>, ACI Deputy Commissioner, Geronimo La Russa<\/strong>, newly elected ACI President and still acting as President of AC Milan, and Giuseppe Redaelli<\/strong>, President of the Autodromo Nazionale Monza.<\/p>\n

During the event, a memorandum of understanding<\/strong> was also signed between the Lombardy Region and ACI for future investments.<\/p>\n

\n

Tullio Del Sette (Special Commissioner, ACI)<\/strong><\/h3>\n
\n

\u201cThe 96th Italian Grand Prix, in the 75th year of the Formula 1 World Championship, promises to be a hugely successful edition. Over the three race days \u2014 Friday, Saturday, and Sunday \u2014 we are set to break the attendance record set last year.
But it won\u2019t just be about racing: the Monza Grand Prix will also highlight key values beyond sport, such as Italian identity, sustainability, and solidarity.
The \u2018One Driver, One Tree<\/strong>\u2019 initiative will be enhanced this year by planting a clone of the Saint Francis Cypress<\/strong>, a symbol of peace and environmental respect. This marks the beginning of a large-scale reforestation project, led by ACI together with the Lombardy Region, the Parco della Valle del Lambro, and the Villa Reale Consortium, to restore the woodlands of the Monza Park damaged by a natural disaster in July 2023.
For the first time, the Fan Zone will also include stations dedicated to cardiovascular health prevention<\/strong> and blood donation<\/strong> throughout the weekend.
On the track, Sunday will feature emotionally charged moments, including a parachute jump by the Folgore Brigade<\/strong> of the Italian Army carrying the Italian flag<\/strong>, the ACI<\/strong> and Formula 1<\/strong>\u00a0flags, a flyover by the Frecce Tricolori<\/strong>, and a performance of the National Anthem by the Carabinieri Band<\/strong> and tenor Vittorio Grigolo<\/strong>.
Monza is motorsport, but it is also culture. The circuit aims to serve not only as a venue for competitions but also as a historic heritage site<\/strong> to be preserved. ACI is committed to involving all central, regional, and local institutions in restoring the now-dilapidated High-Speed Oval<\/strong>.
Let\u2019s not forget that the first Grand Prix in Italy took place in 1921 in Montichiari, and since then, Monza has hosted 89 editions<\/strong>, making it the most prestigious motorsport event in the country \u2014 a source of pride and responsibility for ACI as the National Sporting Federation<\/strong> for motorsport.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cThe Autodromo Nazionale Monza is a sacred place<\/strong> for motorsport. The record-breaking crowd is proof of the passion that surrounds this event.
This season has seen McLaren dominate, but as an Italian, I hope that, like last year, Ferrari<\/strong> can achieve something extraordinary.
They have the drivers to do it: Charles Leclerc<\/strong>, who won on his Monza debut in 2019 and again last year, and Lewis Hamilton<\/strong>, who received a grid penalty in the Netherlands but still holds five wins at Monza, tying the all-time record with Ferrari legend Michael Schumacher<\/strong>.
We also hope for a great weekend from the young Italian driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli<\/strong>, whose development has been strongly supported by ACI \u2014 a source of great pride for us.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    On September 6<\/strong>, Alfa Romeo<\/strong> will celebrate 100 years since its first of five World Championships, achieved at Monza in 1925 by Gastone Brilli-Peri<\/strong> in the P2.
    These anniversaries, along with F1\u2019s 75th season, create a bridge between past and future<\/strong>, celebrating a legacy that is enriched each year with new feats on the Monza track.
    Monza is the most beautiful circuit in the world not just because of speed, but because it holds the dreams and achievements<\/strong> that have made motorsport immortal.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \u201cThe 96th edition of the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix reaffirms Monza\u2019s century-old circuit as the definitive Temple of Speed<\/strong>.
    The upgrade and improvement works to the track and facilities, to which the Lombardy Region<\/strong> made a tangible contribution, are plain for all to see.
    However, the issue of the concession between the Villa Reale Consortium<\/strong> and ACI must still be resolved, as ACI needs to confirm the possibility of holding the Grand Prix beyond 2028 by the end of 2026.
    I\u2019m confident a solution will be found, through teamwork among institutions united by a shared goal of keeping this prestigious international event in Monza.
