The event is organized by <strong>Automobile Club Milano<\/strong> and <strong>ACI Storico<\/strong> with the collaboration of <strong>CONI Lombardia<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;theme&#8221; of this year&#8217;s edition is sports, as the <strong>XXV Winter Olympic Games in Milan Cortina 2026<\/strong> will be held from Feb. 6 to 22.<\/p>\n<p>Crews will pass in front of the great stages of Milanese sports, paying homage to historic Ambrosian facilities and sports clubs, before landing at the<strong>Autodromo Nazionale Monza<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Departure<\/strong> is set for <strong>10 a.m. <\/strong>from <strong>AC Milan<\/strong> headquarters <strong>on Corso Venezia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The vintage cars will drive through the central streets of Milan. They will then touch on <g id=\"gid_0\">Piscina Cozzi, Arena Civica <\/g><g id=\"gid_1\">(which in 2002 was named in memory of <\/g><g id=\"gid_2\">Gianni Brera<\/g><g id=\"gid_3\">, journalist and writer<\/g>)<g id=\"gid_4\">, Velodromo Vigorelli, Tennis Club Milano Alberto Bonacossa, Palalido, Ippodromo SNAI San Siro, Stadio Giuseppe Meazza di San Siro and Autodromo Nazionale Monza.<\/g> Inside the<strong>Hippodrome<\/strong>, which has been home to <strong>Leonardo&#8217;s Horse<\/strong> &#8211; one of the world&#8217;s largest equestrian statues &#8211; since 1999, the crews will make a stop before setting off again to complete the Grand Tour route.  <\/p>\n<p>The sports clubs involved are: <strong>Circolo della Spada Mangiarotti, Atletica Riccardi, Rhinos Milano American Football, Tennis Club Milano Alberto Bonacossa, Urania Basket Milano, Powervolley Milano.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Arrival<\/strong> at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza is scheduled at <strong>12:30 p.m.<\/strong> Inside the Brianza circuit, in addition to the parade of historic cars on the track, there will be a commemoration of<strong> Arturo Mercanti<\/strong>, the Director of <strong>Automobile Club Milano<\/strong> who in <strong>1922<\/strong> coordinated the conception, design and construction of the Monza track, the historic home of the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix and the third oldest permanent racetrack in the world, after the British Brooklands (from 1907, no longer in use) and the North American Indianapolis, from 1909. <\/p>\n<p>Among the 50 vintage cars entered, in addition to the many iconic<strong>Alfa Romeo Giulietta<\/strong> models, are the <strong>1937 Targa Florio-winning<\/strong> <strong>Lancia Augusta<\/strong>, the <strong>Triumph TR2 Long door Le Mans<\/strong>, the 1971 <strong>Ferrari Daytona<\/strong>, the <strong>Ferrari 512 TR<\/strong>, the Maserati <strong>3500 GT Touring<\/strong> and the <strong>Ferrari 308 GTB Vetroresina<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>(Source: AC Milan press release)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday, November 9, around 12:30 p.m., theAutodromo Nazionale Monza will be the finish line of &#8220;Wheels in History.&#8221; ACI [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":27,"featured_media":26200,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[63],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-26204","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-en"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.8 -
