Also for the 97th Italian Grand Prix, BrianzAcque will be present inside the Monza National Autodrome, stepping up its commitment to promoting the consumption of free, locally sourced public tap water. The new Memorandum of Understanding between BrianzAcque and the Monza National Autodrome strengthens a partnership launched in 2022 and expanded year after year with a focus on environmental sustainability. The agreement aims to promote the responsible use of water resources and reduce the consumption of single-use plastic.<\/p>\n

A green initiative for both the environment and the public. During the three-day event (September 4\u20135\u20136), 17 microfiltered water dispensers will be installed, offering increased dispensing and cooling capacity, and positioned in strategic, high-traffic areas: 2 dispensers at Grandstand 24, 2 at Grandstand 26, 3 at Parco Camping, 3 at the external Parabolica Grandstand, 3 at the Ascari Chicane, 1 at Serraglio, and 1 in the Paddock. These will be joined by dispensers in the ACI Terrace and the Public Security Offices. Once again this year, the Fanzone will feature three \u201csuper water stations,\u201d each equipped with 10 dispensers capable of delivering 200 litres per hour in a continuous flow. In addition, there is the permanent Casa dell\u2019Acqua (Water House), located next to the Fangio statue and operational year-round. In total, therefore, more than 45 water supply points will be operational.<\/p>\n

The water will be available still or sparkling, chilled or at room temperature, safe and quality-controlled, and microfiltered without altering its original characteristics.<\/p>\n

\u201cMonza National Autodrome has long paid close attention to sustainability issues, with the aim of combining its history and international prestige with increasingly responsible environmental management,\u201d comments Giuseppe Redaelli, President of the Monza National Autodrome. \u201cThe partnership with BrianzAcque fits perfectly into this journey: we share the understanding that sustainability requires continuous effort and ongoing investment. The permanent drinking-water fountains spread throughout the facility are a tangible example of this commitment. They were created by Sias using the trunks of trees felled by the storm in July 2023. The addition of BrianzAcque\u2019s water stations during the Grand Prix\u2014which dispense treated and chilled water\u2014contributes to a significant reduction in the number of single-use plastic bottles, with a positive impact on the environment. Together, we are determined to continue along this path, stepping up our efforts to make the Monza National Autodrome an international benchmark for best environmental practices as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRenewing our partnership with the Monza National Autodrome for the fifth consecutive year means consolidating a project that has made sustainability a tangible part of the Grand Prix experience,\u201d says Enrico Boerci, President and CEO of BrianzAcque. \u201cFor the 2026 edition as well, we are providing fans with a free, safe and high-quality service, promoting the consumption of public tap water as a simple and responsible choice. Bringing locally sourced water to the Temple of Speed means highlighting a valuable local resource and helping to make an internationally significant event increasingly attentive to the environment and to people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Province\u2019s support for this project is based not only on the trust we have always placed in BrianzAcque, but also on the results achieved in previous years, which speak for themselves,\u201d says Luca Santambrogio, President of the Province of Monza and Brianza. \u201cAlmost 156,000 fewer plastic bottles over a single race weekend: this is the concrete measure of what a public administration can achieve when it chooses to invest in serious projects rather than just good intentions. An event watched by millions of people around the world has a duty to lead by example, and Brianza is once again demonstrating that it has the expertise to do so. It is not enough to claim to be sustainable; sustainability must be demonstrated through concrete actions: with the dispensers installed, the litres of water distributed, and the bottles that stay at home. This is the vision for our territory that we want to pursue.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPromoting public tap water is a message of tangible sustainability. This is why seeing it take centre stage at the Italian Grand Prix means giving value to a universal message and demonstrating, through concrete action, that it is increasingly possible to combine the international appeal of events of this scale with constant attention and sensitivity towards the territory\u2019s natural resources,\u201d says Carlo Abb\u00e0, Monza City Councillor for Territorial Marketing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe partnership with the Monza National Autodrome,\u201d highlights Riccardo Borgonovo, President of ATO MB, \u201creaffirms the growing focus on the concept of being plastic-free, in pursuit of an even broader challenge: tackling climate change and protecting the planet. One particularly significant strategy is reducing the consumption of water sold in plastic bottles. In this context, our water dispensers equipped with filtration systems represent a practical solution, making water available without the need to purchase plastic bottles, thereby reducing the production and disposal of packaging and eliminating the need to transport and handle packaged water. From this perspective, choosing alternatives to single-use plastic is not merely an individual gesture, but an ethical and environmental choice: it means becoming more aware of the impact of our habits and making a concrete contribution to protecting the planet for future generations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Less plastic, more sustainability. During the 2025 Italian Grand Prix weekend, an estimated 156,000 half-litre single-use plastic bottles were saved, thanks to the consumption of more than 78,000 litres of water\u201478,284 litres, to be precise\u2014an increase of 53% compared with 2024. In a place that is a symbol of Brianza such as the Autodrome, water is also taking centre stage. It is not only about speed: the 2026 Formula 1 Pirelli Italian Grand Prix will also be a celebration of the region\u2019s excellence and its ability to look to the future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
