APPROVED BY THE MONZA CITY COUNCIL: RESOLUTIONS ON THE WORKS: THE AUTODROMO’S SATISFACTION

Following the approval given by the Monza City Council, at the meeting of April 9, of three strategic resolutions for the adaptation of the Autodromo Nazionale Monza to the modern requirements of Formula 1, the circuit’s position in the international context is further strengthened. The planned works include the permanent covering of the pit building, the construction of a new race control room and a new media centre.

“We are extremely satisfied with the outcome of the City Council vote, which represents a decisive moment for the future of our facility. The near-unanimous support expressed in the vote demonstrates the shared value of this project and the awareness of the strategic importance of the circuit for the territory and for the country, which benefits from an economic spin-off of around 250 million euros. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Automobile Club d’Italia, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Lombardy Region, the Monza Park Consortium, the Regional Authority of the Lambro Valley, the Municipality of Monza, the Sovraintendenza, and all local institutions and bodies for the loyal and concrete collaboration shown over these years. It is precisely thanks to this synergy between national and local institutions that we can face future challenges with confidence. This cooperation must be maintained and further strengthened, so as to ensure continuity, development, and a peaceful future for the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, preserving its central role in the international motorsport landscape,” said Giuseppe Redaelli, President of the Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
