MONZA REVIVAL: A WEEKEND OF HISTORIC RACING AT MONZA

his weekend, the Autodromo Nazionale Monza will host the inaugural edition of Monza Revival, a two-day event entirely dedicated to the historic racing cars that have written some of the most memorable chapters in international motorsport.

For two days, the Temple of Speed will be transformed into a dynamic open-air museum, showcasing an extraordinary selection of single-seaters, prototypes, GT cars, and touring cars spanning more than half a century of racing history, from the 1960s through to the end of the 2010s. It will be a unique opportunity to see some of the most iconic racing cars ever built back in action, accompanied by their unmistakable engine sound.

Seven categories will take centre stage over the weekend. Masters Racing Legends will feature Formula 1 cars from the era of the legendary Ford Cosworth V8 engine through to the arrival of the turbo era, with cars built between 1966 and 1985. Masters Sports Car Legends will bring back the GT and Prototype machines that starred in the world’s greatest endurance races between 1962 and 1976.

The programme will also include more recent racing machinery with Masters Endurance Legends 1, dedicated to endurance cars built between 1995 and 2016, and Masters Endurance Legends 2, featuring LMP3, GT3, and GT4 cars from the 1989–2019 period.

Completing the schedule will be the spectacular Masters Gentlemen Drivers & Pre-’66 Touring Cars, showcasing pre-1966 GTS, GTP, and Touring Cars, together with the fascinating Masters Group C, where legendary IMSA and Group C machines from the 1982–1993 period—many still wearing their original, iconic liveries—will return to the track.

As its inaugural edition, Monza Revival 2026 marks the beginning of an event designed to grow in the years ahead. To celebrate the occasion, spectators will enjoy free access to all open grandstands at the Autodromo, while the paddock will remain reserved for teams and accredited personnel.

Track action will begin on Saturday, 25 July, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., with free practice sessions, qualifying, Time Attack sessions, and the first races of the weekend. On Sunday, 26 July, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:10 p.m., the programme will continue with the second races for each category, alongside dynamic demonstrations that will entertain spectators through to the close of the event.

Beyond the on-track action, visitors will also be able to enjoy a wide range of entertainment. Throughout the weekend, the Fanzone will offer an engaging experience for fans of all ages. Spectators can relax in the dedicated lounge area, cool off with artisan gelato, and, on Sunday, enjoy a live DJ set. Families will find activities and entertainment designed especially for children, while an extensive food and beverage offering will complete the weekend experience. Also on Sunday, the Fanzone will host a classic car gathering organised by MAMS (Monza Auto Moto Storiche).
