SPORTING MEMBERS OF THE AUTOMOBILE CLUB OF MILAN HONOURED AT MONZA
Autodromo Nazionale Monza hosted yesterday evening, Monday, March 9, 2026, the awards ceremony for the Sporting Members of the Automobile Club of Milan.
The event celebrated victories, notable placings and sporting achievements of members who compete with racing licenses issued by the organization headquartered at Corso Venezia 43.
At the Brianza circuit, more than seventy drivers, track marshals and racing teams received cups, plaques and certificates in recognition of the successes they achieved in 2025.
Guest of honor was Alessandro Pier Guidi, overall FIA WEC (World Endurance Championship) World Champion with the number 51 Ferrari 499P. A triumph of extraordinary importance for our member, who helped bring Ferrari to victory in the manufacturers’ standings, 53 years after its last overall Endurance world title.
Before the awards ceremony, the world champion was interviewed by journalist and writer Umberto Zapelloni, and then received the prize from Pietro Meda, President of the Automobile Club of Milan.
“The awards presented today to our sporting members confirm the great Milanese motorsport tradition, which has given Formula 1 no fewer than fifteen drivers. Milan is also the birthplace of the last Italian Formula 1 world champion: Alberto Ascari,” said Pietro Meda.
“Our thanks go to the drivers, teams and track marshals who in recent months have proudly carried the Club’s flag on roads and circuits in Italy and around the world. The Automobile Club of Milan has always been a great family that nurtures talent: we must continue along this path, reaching out to younger generations and using motorsport as an educational tool to teach rules and road safety,” Meda concluded.
During the evening, which was attended among others by ACM Vice President Paolo Longoni, who holds the same role at Autodromo Nazionale Monza, a special recognition was also presented to the historic Brianza circuit itself.
