Solidarity events for the Monza racetrack with the LILT march and the Paralympic Handbike race

The Temple of Speed will host a race of the Italian League for the Fight against Cancer on 2 June and the eleventh edition of the Handcycling GP Monza.

On Thursday 2 June, the Autodromo Nazionale Monza is committed to social issues. For the Republic Day, The Temple of Speed does not stop and welcomes two events in a single day. In fact, the Circuit opens its spaces and its legendary track both to LILT, the Italian League for the Fight against Cancer, and to the Little Devils 3 Wheels ASD ONLUS Amateur Sports Association, which returns to the Brianza track for the Handcycling GP Monza , now in its eleventh date.

The morning will be dedicated to the 42nd edition of Formula One, the historic non-competitive walk of LILT, a celebration of sport and solidarity open to all: adults, children and four-legged friends. Between registrations and donations, the total proceeds from the event, born in the Autodrome in 1980, will be used with the aim of creating Casa LILT, the largest cancer prevention center in Brianza, in Monza. Registration is required for a minimum donation of 10 euros, including insurance, while children under 3 years old will enter for free. Further information on the event and on the program is available on the web page www.legatumori.mi.it/resta- informed-post / news / formula- one-2022 / .

In the afternoon there will be space for the 11th Handcycling GP Monza, a now traditional handbike race for the Temple of Speed. The Paralympic athletes, accompanied by their clubs, will be at the Autodrome as early as 10 am in the paddock. The race, which will last one hour plus one lap, will start at 3 pm and is organized by the Piccoli Diavoli 3 Ruote ASD Onlus association. At the end of the activity, the winners will be rewarded in an area set aside for celebrations, also in the paddock. All the details are available on the official website of the Federciclismo www.federciclismo.it .

Both events are organized thanks to the collaboration between the Municipality of Monza and the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, and they will not be the only events in 2022 that the Temple of Speed will dedicate to social issues. In fact, this weekend, on 4 and 5 June, the sports associations of the Monza area will arrive on the circuit to give life to the Monza Sport Festival, while between October and November the 12H Cycling Marathon and the traditional 6 Ruote di Hope.
