GT WORLD CHALLENGE BY AWS: THE 3 HOURS OF MONZA FEATURING GREAT CHAMPIONS, SPECTACLE AND FAN EXPERIENCE
Autodromo Nazionale Monza is preparing to host one of the most anticipated events of the international GT season. From May 29 to 31, the Temple of Speed will stage the GT World Challenge powered by AWS 3 Hours race, featuring world-class drivers and a packed schedule of activities for fans.
A total of 57 cars representing 10 manufacturers will take to the track, ready to compete in one of the most spectacular endurance races on the European calendar. Making the weekend in Monza even more special will be the presence of Valentino Rossi, eagerly awaited by Italian fans as he takes the wheel of the #46 BMW for Team WRT. The nine-time world champion returns to race in front of his home crowd on the iconic Monza circuit, a track he knows very well from the early days of his career. Rossi competed at Monza in the Sport Production category at the start of his motorcycle racing journey and later became one of the stars of the Monza Rally Show and the Master Show, collecting numerous victories and building a special bond with the Monza fans.
BMW arrives at Monza with high ambitions: alongside Rossi’s car, the #32 Team WRT entry and the #98 ROWE Racing car are also considered strong contenders for overall victory. However, many teams will be worth watching following the opening round of the season at Paul Ricard. Mercedes-AMG Team Mann-Filter and Aston Martin Comtoyou Racing are aiming to remain at the top, while Ferrari hopes to bounce back in front of its home fans with the #51 AF Corse car driven by Alessio Rovera, Tommaso Mosca, and Nicklas Nielsen.
Porsche, McLaren, and Aston Martin will also be part of a weekend that promises fierce competition across all classes and nonstop action on track, thanks in part to the support series: McLaren Trophy Europe, GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli, and GT4 European Series will bring an additional 80 cars to the circuit.
The GT World Challenge is much more than just a race. Throughout the weekend, fans will be able to enjoy the event from the heart of the action thanks to free paddock access included with the ticket. Inside the circuit, a Fanzone (located in the former museum area) will feature DJ sets and live music, food trucks, relaxation areas, giant screens, and activities for children.
There is also great anticipation for the autograph sessions with drivers scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday — unique opportunities for fans to meet the championship protagonists up close. Supercar displays, merchandising stands, and a dedicated Photo Corner for fans wishing to share their experience on social media will also be available.
On Sunday, before the start of the 3 Hours race scheduled for 3:30 PM, the Italian National Anthem will be performed by the Fanfara Alpina Angelo Masciadri of Asso (Como).
Tickets are available starting from €20, while the full weekend pass — offering nearly nine hours of racing action — can be purchased for €40.
