Autodromo Nazionale Monza launches its first NFT and inaugurates a token marketplace for fans

Autodromo Nazionale Monza is the first circuit in the world to market NFT (non-fungible-token), digital certificates of authenticity regulated with blockchain technology. This was announced today by the General Manager Alessandra Zinno on the occasion of the inauguration of the Rimini 2021 Meeting , where the Temple of Speed is present with an exhibition space until 25 August.

Autodromo Nazionale Monza has chosen Stargraph as a technical partner for its entry into the world of non-fungible-tokens, an innovative Italian startup operating in the collectibles and blockchain market since 2017, which will make its marketplace available to the Circuit for buying and selling of digital content.

For the launch of the initiative, all fans will be honored with the first NFT of the Circuit : a faithful reproduction of the trophy that is given to the winners of the races of the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. There cup digital card , made by Milanese creative designer Miranda Biondi, is the first digital work of the Temple of Speed available on the market and will be sent to all fans who register on the marketplace between 10 and 12 September , the weekend in which the race will take place the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix 2021 .

NFTs can be defined as tools that certify the ownership of a digital asset and that the object (or experience) to which they are associated has their own peculiarity and individuality. Tokens are managed through blockchain technology with a mechanism similar to that used for the exchange of cryptocurrencies. The control system is maintained by thousands of computer terminals which, like a sort of ledger, keep track of all the transactions and changes in ownership of the NFT, without the possibility of falsification.

During the Rimini Meeting , in the space dedicated to the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in the south hall, it will be possible to see the original cup and the first NFT of the circuit entitled “1st Official Monza Circuit NFT”. The staff present will help the public sign up for the Stargraph marketplace to be able to redeem the digital token for free in September.

The production of NFT of the Autodromo Nazionale Monza will not be limited in the future to the creation of digital cards but will also extend to the digitization and sale of physical experiences that users can then enjoy directly within the circuit.
