INAUGURATED MIMO WITH THE SOUND OF DREAM SUPERCARS
The traditional parade of dream supercars kicked off the fourth edition of the MIMO Milano Monza Motor Show at the prestigious Autodromo Nazionale Monza. On the pit straight, iconic models paraded by, including the Pagani Huayra R Evo Roadster, Huayra R, Codalunga, and Utopia Coupé. Following them, a four-wheeled spectacle featuring Ferrari, McLaren (including the ultra-rare Senna Sempre), Dallara, Lamborghini, Porsche, Maserati, and Aston Martin.
Before the engines roared to life, the ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on the starting grid with MIMO President Andrea Levy, joined by the event’s ambassador, Federica Masolin, a beloved sports journalist and Sky Sport personality, Senator Elena Murelli, Giuseppe Redaelli, President of Autodromo Nazionale Monza, who emphasized how the historic venue has become the natural home of the event; Pietro Meda, Vice President of Automobile Club Milano, who celebrated the bond between MIMO and ACI and the key focus on road safety at the festival; Carlo Abbà, Councillor for Commerce, Labor and Territorial Marketing of the City of Monza, who highlighted MIMO’s connection to local businesses; and Paolo Martini, Head of Plenitude E-Mobility Recharge Solutions and CEO of Be Charge, who spoke about the importance of participating in events that celebrate a 360° passion for automobiles. Finally, Alberto Scuro, President of the Italian Historical Automotoclub (ASI), presented, together with the ASI team, a true “festival within the festival”—an extraordinary exhibition of historic race cars that have shaped motorsport history: Alan Jones’s Surtees TS 19 Formula 1, Riccardo Patrese’s Arrows A1 Formula 1, Carlos Pace’s March 712 M Formula 2, Luciano Pavesi’s Brabham BT 41 Formula 3, along with Formula Monza and Spedo Formula Junior. Among the covered-wheel cars, highlights included the De Tomaso Pantera Group 4, Iso Grifo A3C, Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato Competizione, Abarth OT 1300, and the Abarth SP 2000, the “queen” of hillclimbs. Also on display, the Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole from the ASI Bertone Collection, powered by bio-gasoline for the ASI Net Zero Classic program.
The Scuderia del Portello also took part with an exhibition from its Dynamic Museum of Historic Alfa Romeo Racing Cars. Among the special guests of the opening day was the legendary Carlo Facetti, celebrating his 90th birthday.
Tomorrow, Saturday, June 28, 2025, alongside on-track tests and major parades, emotions will run high with Pagani’s “Art on Track”, followed by the Supercar Track Day, where speed queens will take turns on the track to thrill the public. Visitors can also enjoy test drives of the latest electric and hybrid models from Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, Omoda, Jaecoo, Leapmotor, EMC, and Foton. Among the most anticipated events are the RECARO Parade, starring sports and historic cars on the banked curves, and spectacular autonomous driving demonstrations organized by Aidoptation in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano and the Indy Autonomous Challenge. More thrills will come from drifting shows, immersive experiences in the Dallara AK Esports sim-racing area, and direct meetups with manufacturers in the pit boxes.
