ITALIAN GP 2025: FANZONE OPENS TOMORROW FEATURING VASSEUR AND ANTONELLI
Tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 4, the first official act of the Formula 1 Pirelli Italian Grand Prix 2025 with the opening at 1:30 p.m. of the Fanzone, which will be accessible to all, that is, without the need to have any ticket. Entrance will be from Gate G (Viale Mirabello).
The Fanzone is an area where fans can not only demonstrate their driving skills with simulators or in tire changing, but also have fun to the sound of music and meet the great protagonists of the World Championship.
The opening will be in style because the first appointment, set for 2:05 p.m., is with Scuderia Ferrari HP team principal Frederic Vasseur. At 4:30 p.m., on the other hand, Andrea Kimi Antonelli will be the protagonist of an interview and subsequent autograph session at a stand entirely dedicated to him.
On display there will be the kart with which he won the FIA Karting European Championship 2021; the Mercedes AMG GT3 EVO with which he won the opening round of the Italian Gran Turismo Championship in Misano Adriatico in 2023; and the Tatuus T-318 at the wheel of which he won the Formula Regional that same year. In addition, fans will be able to get a close look at the helmet, overalls, booties, and gloves worn in karts, minor series, and now in this his first Formula 1 season with Mercedes AMG Petronas.
The Bolognese driver, who grew up with the support of ACI, will then be on stage for the “Drivers’ Engagement” on Saturday morning, September 6, at 11 a.m. for a brief interview in Italian before being joined by George Russell. As for interviews, the schedule calls for the two McLaren F1 Team drivers, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, who are dominating the World Championship, to be on stage Friday morning (11:50 a.m.). The next day it will be the turn of four-time world champion, Oracle Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen (10:15 a.m.), while Ferraristi Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will meet the fans at 10:50 a.m.
Not only racing: several DJs will take turns on the Fanzone stage, and Saturday night from 6 p.m. big concert with Benny Benassi.
The Fanzone, in addition to tomorrow’s opening day, will be open Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. To gain access, it will be necessary to have a ticket for the same day.
