MILANO-SANREMO RE-ENACTMENT CELEBRATING 120 YEARS OF THE RACE WILL START FROM AUTODROMO NAZIONALE MONZA

The Coppa Milano-Sanremo in 2026 will be 120 years old, having been born precisely in 1906 from a joint initiative of Automobile Club Milano and La Gazzetta dello Sport: today, on the opening day of Milan Autoclassica, the famous show dedicated to classic and sports cars, which will be held until Sunday, November 23 at the Fiera di Rho – Milan, the organizers of the Historical Re-enactment of the Coppa Milano-Sanremo unveiled the next edition in the presence of Geronimo La Russa, President of Automobile Club Milano and President-elect of Automobile Club of Italy, Giovanni Battista Tombolato, Sub Commissioner of ACI and President of ACI Storico, and. Pietro Meda, Vice President of ACM.

The 120th anniversary edition of the Coppa Milano-Sanremo, scheduled for March 26-29, 2026, will pay homage to the original 310-kilometer-long route that linked Milan to Acqui Terme and from there continued to San Remo, traversing the picturesque and challenging roads that the Milanese used to travel to the Riviera during their vacations.

This year’s route will kick off with the traditional trials at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, ending the first day with a special Opening Gala Dinner in Milan. On Friday, the crews will depart from the Lombard capital and, passing through Rapallo, arrive in Genoa, where the second day of competition will conclude with an informal chic dinner.

On Saturday, March 28, the cars will sustain special tests inside the Ligurian capital and then finish in the picturesque territory of Loano, making an earlier stop in Acqui Terme. This will be followed by time and media tests to San Remo, where the sports part will be concluded and the awards ceremony with Gala Dinner will be held at the rooftop of the famous Casino.

On Sunday, crews will also be able to participate in an exclusive out-of-race “Tribute” that will close the event in an atmosphere of passion and conviviality.

The Automobile Club Milano will again this year be the body that officially sponsors and operationally supports the event and through ACI Sport will give it competitive value within the Italian Major Events Championship.

Entries are open for all vintage cars registered in any Nation and produced from the origins to 2000, as long as the condition is of perfect efficiency and fidelity to the original model, fitted with either an F.I.V.A. passport, F.I.A.
