One of the main missions of the Autodromo Nazionale Monza is to enhance those initiatives that promote social inclusion. These include the involvement in the Awabot project of the IRCCS San Gerardo dei Tintori Foundation , of the Il Veliero Theater Association and of the Silvia Tremolada Onlus Sports Association which gives young patients the opportunity to live unforgettable virtual experiences on the circuit.

Thus, on the occasion of the 94th Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio d'Italia , scheduled for this weekend, some young patients had the opportunity to meet the Formula 1 champions thanks to the video connection made through a small robot, a sort of screen on wheels, moving in the paddock. Thus the children and teenagers of the were able to ask questions by interacting with their favorites, who gave them moments of great emotion.

On Thursday the meeting with the Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz was particularly joyful, followed by the one with the CEO of Liberty Media, Stefano Domenicali and the Asturian from Aston Martin Frenando Alonso. During the weekend, other Formula 1 drivers will intervene, for a program of meetings that includes meetings with almost all the drivers of the Formula 1 Circus.

The little robots will also be at work on Saturdays and Sundays. On the occasion of the pit lane walk, the boys of the Il Veliero and Silvia Tremolada associations will virtually interact with personalities from the world of Formula 1.

"For the IRCCS San Gerardo dei Tintori Foundation but above all for the children and adolescents hospitalized during the days of the Formula One Grand Prix, this is a unique opportunity of its kind that will give them an incomparable experience. For this we thank the organization for having involved us in a singular and extraordinary adventure, which will virtually bring two departments inside the paddock. But not only. The San Gerardo Hospital Foundation will be the point of reference for the entire event, providing the professionalism and preparation of its operators for any need. A link, the one that has been created with the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, with the races and events connected to it, which is increasingly consolidated", underline the President of the IRCCS San Gerardo dei Tintori Foundation of Monza, Dr. Claudio Cogliati , the General Manager, Dr. Silvano Casazza and the Scientific Director, Prof. Andrea Biondi .

"The attention of the Autodromo Nazionale Monza towards social and inclusive issues is increasingly important and we are happy to offer our support to the initiatives that are proposed to us. This year we welcomed Formula 1's idea of bringing young patients from the San Gerardo Hospital and two other associations to the Paddock of the Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio d'Italia, even if only virtually, thanks to the Awabot project. The young patients of the Brianza hospital, which is a point of excellence for the racetrack as a reference hospital for all our activities, and the disabled children of the other associations, will be able to meet their favorites, allowing them to experience the Grand Prix of Italy and to virtually visit the most significant places of the racetrack.
