UNVEILED THE ITALIAN GP POSTER: A TRIBUTE TO THE TEMPLE OF SPEED
The official presentation of the poster for the Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio d’Italia 2025, scheduled to take place at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza from September 5 to 7 as the 16th round of the Formula 1 World Championship, was held this morning at the Automobile Club d’Italia headquarters in Rome.
In attendance were ACI Extraordinary Commissioner Tullio Del Sette, Deputy Commissioner Giovanni Battista Tombolato, and ACI President-elect Geronimo La Russa.
The theme of the 2025 poster is “The Sense of Speed”, a visual tribute to the DNA of the historic Brianza circuit. Built in 1922, Monza is the second oldest permanent racetrack still in operation, after the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Its legendary nickname, Temple of Speed, stems from its defining features: long straights, flat-out corners, and — in the past — the iconic high-speed oval.
The 2025 poster, both a visual prelude to the race and a coveted collector’s item for fans, represents speed as a swirling vortex blending the Italian tricolore with ACI’s institutional blue. As the national sporting authority, ACI owns the Italian Grand Prix. Featured in the artwork are three Formula 1 cars: the Ferrari, motorsport’s “national red team,” victorious at Monza in 2024 with Charles Leclerc and returning this year with a dream lineup that includes seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton; the Mercedes driven by young Italian prodigy Kimi Andrea Antonelli, a symbol of ACI Team Italia’s talent development program; and the McLaren-Mercedes of current title contenders Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.
Tullio Del Sette commented: “The poster we unveiled this morning will accompany the 96th edition of the Italian Grand Prix, the 75th since the Formula 1 World Championship was established. The central motif is a chromatic vortex exalting our tricolore, enveloping three cars that represent today’s Formula 1: Ferrari, naturally; McLaren, currently leading the championship; and Antonelli’s Mercedes, the pride of Italy and ACI Team Italia. The blue ring surrounding the vortex represents ACI’s institutional color, as Italy’s motorsport federation, affiliated with CONI, co-founder of the FIA, and once again organizer of the Grand Prix.”
Giovanni Battista Tombolato added: “I am proud to be Italian. Everything Monza represents — for fans, for the public, for the region, is of immense value. Monza is the most historic track on the current calendar, with the September race marking the 75th Grand Prix held here since the inception of the World Championship. Not even Monte Carlo or Silverstone can claim that. I invite fans to come in great numbers, let’s set a new attendance record together.”
Geronimo La Russa concluded: “Monza is home to me, but above all, it is the home of Formula 1, of the fans’ passion, and of cutting-edge technology. Its long-standing presence in the sport speaks to the dedication of everyone who works to ensure the success of this event, which brings benefits to the region and the entire country. As ACI, we remain committed to enhancing the experience and strengthening its position at the heart of Italy’s sporting calendar.”
This will be the 96th running of the Italian Grand Prix. Since the birth of the World Championship in 1950, Monza has hosted the race continuously, with the sole exception of 1980, when it was held in Imola. No other circuit in the world boasts such consistent presence in Formula 1 history.
The official opening ceremony of the Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio d’Italia 2025 will take place at 12:00 on September 2 at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza.

AT THE FORMULA 1 PIRELLI ITALIAN GRAND PRIX, LILT OFFERS THE PUBLIC SUNSCREEN DISPENSERS
Engines on: Formula 1 returns to the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, recently reopened following modernization work. From August 29 to September 1, the “Temple of Speed”, one of the oldest and most prestigious circuits in the world, will host the 95th edition of the Italian Grand Prix. New asphalt, a more performing track and new pedestrian paths are just some of the new features that await drivers and fans.
One of the most unexpected is certainly the presence of 10 sunscreen dispensers that LILT and the Autodromo have decided to place inside the circuit.
At the dispensers, which work autonomously thanks to a built-in solar panel, the public will be able to stock up on SPF 50 sunscreen, dispensed automatically and hygienically. The dispensers will be periodically refilled with product to allow anyone to make a “pit stop” for protection at any time. The sunscreen inside the dispensers is approved by a LILT dermatologist and protects against solar rays, which are a risk factor for the development of skin cancer and premature aging of the dermis.
“Today we are stepping on the accelerator together with the Autodromo Nazionale Monza to raise awareness among more and more people on the importance of preventing skin cancer, and in particular melanoma, the third most frequent tumor in the under 50s – comments Marco Alloisio , president of LILT Milano Monza Brianza – We thank the Autodromo for allowing us to amplify our message, prevention is living, during the days of the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Ten clearly visible dispensers full of useful information will invite fans to protect themselves during a time of significant and prolonged exposure to solar rays. This is our mission”.
“Being alongside LILT is a source of pride for us – said Giuseppe Redaelli , president of SIAS Autodromo Nazionale Monza – Making sunscreen available to fans is not only a very useful service, but also a means of spreading and understanding a message that must lead to greater awareness. The Autodromo Nazionale Monza, hosting hundreds of thousands of fans, must be a megaphone for initiatives such as the one promoted in collaboration with LILT, promoting behaviors that are increasingly attentive to safeguarding health”.
According to 2023 data from Aiom (Italian Association of Medical Oncology), exposure to UV rays is the most important environmental risk factor for skin cancer, also known as melanoma. This tumor occurs at a young age and in Italy it is the third most frequent in both sexes under the age of 50.
LILT and the Autodromo have chosen to install the dispensers because they are aware of the importance of safety, not only for the drivers and fans in the stands, but also for their skin. Even if the sun is hidden by clouds, it is necessary to apply the cream that should be spread on the body (including hands, feet, ears and scalp) every hour and a half or every two hours. Other useful tips for protection are reported on the dispensers together with the UV index, or the level of solar ultraviolet radiation, of the place where they are installed. T
o find out the distribution points of LILT sun cream, you can consult the map available on the Monza Circuit app.
